JOB REQUIREMENTS: Director IT - Enterprise Data Job ID 2025-8845 # of Openings 1 Type Full-Time State WI City Milwaukee Shift First Overview Leads the strategy, architecture, and execution of data management best practices across the organization ensuring the effective use, security, and governance of data. Leads a team and partners with Senior Leadership, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure that data is managed as a strategic asset, driving business insights, compliance, and competitive advantage. Responsibilities Oversees the MEC Enterprise Data Platform, data architecture, data models, and management tools to support business objectives. Partners with stakeholders to identify data needs and supports business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics initiatives that enable strategic decision-making. Drives the adoption of best practices of data management, governance, quality, architecture, and lifecycle management to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the organization. Leads the execution of ETL (extract, transform, load) activities as defined in MEC\'s application modernization roadmap. Establishes and oversees data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and privacy, across multiple business system platforms. Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc., and manages data-related risks. Leads and develops a team of data professionals, including data architects, engineers, and governance specialists. Evaluates and selects data management technologies and tools that align with the organization\'s needs and strategy. Manages relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality data management solutions. Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work performance management; department budget. Performs other duties as assigned, which may include leading projects of varying scale or scope.
