The Headlines:

In the role of Director – Global Financial Risk & Pensions working in Milwaukee you will be part of the Global Treasury team. This individual will provide single point accountability for enterprise pension and risk management activities for the organization. You will lead the enterprise financial risk management strategies and processes for mitigating exposure to foreign exchange, commodity, and interest rate risk at the corporate and subsidiary level. This individual will also oversee the enterprise pension financial strategy and the Outsourced Chief Investment Officers as well as assist in the management of the North America DC plans.

This position reports to the Global Assistant Treasurer and works collaboratively both within Treasury and with various business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of activities. This role is also responsible for managing, coaching, and leading a team of three direct reports.

The Responsibilities:

  • Manage enterprise pension governance processes including investment strategy, funding, risk management as well as quantifying & reporting the financial impacts

  • Work with defined benefit and defined contribution fiduciaries across the globe to optimize:

  • Plan asset allocation strategies

  • Investment manager evaluation & selection

  • Investment consultant and actuary evaluation & selection

  • DB/DC plan benefit design

  • Drive enterprise financial risk management processes including identifying and implementing hedging strategies to manage foreign exchange, commodity, and interest rate risk and their financial impact

  • Lead the development, deployment and improvement of enterprise wide VaR and Monte Carlo models to help inform hedging decisions

  • Evolve existing tools and practices to help optimize the company’s market opportunity set

  • Lead the development, recommendation, and execution of derivative strategies to increase the likelihood of achieving business goals related to our financial results in line with the organization’s overall risk tolerance

  • Oversee the tracking and reporting of the effectiveness of all hedging strategies including providing fundamental, technical and statistical analysis

  • Ensure financial risk management activities comply with corporate controls and policies

  • Report results and expectations in presentations to the Financial Risk Management Committee, the Finance Committee to the Board of Directors and other senior leadership as needed

  • Partner with business units and Global Procurement on identifying, quantifying and forecasting commodity and FX risks

  • Support global business units with market intelligence and financial analysis

  • Actively develop team members in order to build business bench and meet individual’s career and development aspirations

The Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in finance or related field; MBA with an emphasis in finance, economics or analytics is a plus; CFA or progress towards becoming a CFA charterholder preferred

  • You have 7+ years of experience in global treasury, finance, other relevant analytical finance work in a complex, multinational environment

  • Strong practical knowledge of capital markets, investment management and pensions

  • Advanced skills related to Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint is strongly preferred

  • You serve as a visible change agent and a transformational leader

  • You have demonstrated the ability to work effectively in a global matrix environment, and can gain commitment and coordinated action on projects or initiatives

  • You have the credibility to influence others and possess strategic thought leadership

  • You have excellent communication skills with the ability to assess situations and provide an objective, non-biased point of view
