Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

Candidates are responsible for maintenance and fleet service on trucks, trailers, and semi-trucks. This includes performing mechanical repairs on hydraulics, air brake systems, clutch systems, pressure/water hoses, and air lines. Work involves disassembling motors, repairing or swapping out transportation refrigeration and cooling systems (HVAC) as needed. Previous experience and a willingness to learn are required, as well as familiarity with schematics and hand power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and fleet service on trucks, trailers, and semi-trucks.

• Conduct mechanical repairs on hydraulics, air brake systems, clutch systems, pressure/water hoses, and air lines.

• Disassemble motors and repair or swap out transportation refrigeration and cooling systems (HVAC) if needed.

• Utilize and interpret schematics and hand power tools.

Work Environment

Typical automotive or diesel tech shop environment which can be dirty in some areas. We offer three shifts: 1st shift (6am-2:30pm or 6am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (2:30pm-10:30pm or 2:30pm-11pm), and 3rd shift (10:30pm-6am or 10:30pm-6:30am).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
