JOB REQUIREMENTS: Brief Description Regal Rexnord is looking for an individual whocan formulate and translate the design of industrial gear drive systems, gear assemblies, and related power transmission components into detailed drawings. This position works with technical service representatives, engineers, salespeople, and other designers on engineered-to-order gear drives and accessories. The primary responsibility for this position is to develop modified gear drive assembly designs and component part drawings that can be produced efficiently and economically. Responsibilities: Produce gear drive assembly layouts for standard and modified gear drive systems, create detailed component drawings and certified prints - using AutoCad/Draftsight and SolidWorks. (shafting, gearing, fabrications, shop assembly) Design special components or modify existing components as required by our customers. Calculate component dimensions, clearances, and tolerance stack up (GD&T). Identify all drive system components, Prepare Bills of Materials, and any other documents necessary for ordering and processing release of drawings, parts, or specifications. Check accuracy of the work produced by self and others. Monitor the status of multiple drafting projects. Follow established technical specifications/procedures to aid in design and repeatability of drawings. Provide shop support to Regal Rexnord manufacturing facilities for assembled and manufactured designs. Assist technical service representatives with technical review of order requirements. Job Qualifications: Associates Degree in Mechanical Design, Technical School Diploma, Apprenticeship program or related industry experience. Prior experience & proficiency with using 2D design packages such as AutoCAD or DraftSight. Prior experience & proficiency with using 3D design packages such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Pro-E Experience with MRP, PDM systems, and Microsoft Office applications. (SAP, DDM, Word, Excel) Prior experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task, as well as adapt well to change. Strong attention to detail & problem-solving skills. Desire to learn and grow within a team environment at a fast-paced, quality-focused manufacturing company.
