What’s a typical day as a CMM Quality Technician? You’ll be:

• Examining materials and products for defects.

• Comparing products with specifications and drawings to ensure assembly completion.

• Verifying dimensions of products using various gauges and instruments.

• Performing receiving inspection processes.

• Rejecting defective parts and marking defects for further action.

• Interacting with other departments to resolve issues.

• Calibrating equipment and measuring devices.

• Assisting in gage repair and setup verification.

• Providing quality training and mentoring to production personnel.

• Managing the non-conformance tracking system.

• Identifying continuous improvement opportunities and recommending changes.

• Researching and recommending tooling or equipment improvements.

• Performing other duties and responsibilities as needed.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent. A two-year degree in a technical discipline is highly desirable.

• Have 3-5 years of related experience and/or training.

• Have the ability to examine materials and products for defects.

• Have strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

• Are detail-oriented and have a strong commitment to quality.

• Have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Have knowledge of continuous improvement principles.

• Have good organizational and housekeeping skills.
