JOB REQUIREMENTS: SUMMARY The Area Sales Manager will drive revenue and sales funnel growth with direct customers and distributor partners within their assigned territory. The Area Sales Manager will manage customers and channel partners, along with their respective sales representatives, using the established sales management process. This team member will prepare and present demonstrations and applications of company product, provide training, and offer follow-up technical support for customers and distributors. This role is home-based with 30-50% travel within the territory.This role will service the Eastern region of the United States. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned. Generate revenue and sales funnel growth consistent with company goals. Develop and execute a growth plan for the territory through prospecting, new account acquisition and development, as well as current account commercial and technical support. Responsible for close collaboration with customers and channel partners to identify customer needs and developing the appropriate Kollmorgen solution to satisfy those needs. Develops, presents, and negotiates pricing proposals with customers using value-selling methods. Provide sales and marketing support to customers, channel partners and channel partner sales representatives, these positions serve as a liaison between company and customer. Assist in defining and implementing marketing plans with Product Management team to support long term sales growth objectives and capture new customers. Coordinates, schedules, and executes activities (training, visits, audits, etc.) in the assigned territory in partnership with cross-functional team members as needed. Assists in developing standard policies and procedures to support ABS methods and metrics. Critical Competencies Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor\'s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university required; a combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree. 3-5+ years of experience working with distribution or channel...
