Job Overview

The Aftermarket Engineering Manager oversees the implementation of global strategies in the Aftermarket area. The Engineering Manager is responsible for supervising, leading and coaching engineers and technical personnel and is accountable for the results of the team.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide the vision for the engineering group by describing the future goals and explaining the development strategies on the roadmap to achieve those goals.

  • Develop plans to implement global vision, strategy, and direction.

  • Manage major initiatives identified at the Aftermarket Leadership level to achieve the required goals within the schedule and budget.

  • Resolve complex problems within short time horizons.

  • Influence and coach others in the drive for results.

  • Develop people, process, and products that drive aftermarket sales and incremental growth.

  • Develop and document knowledge to drive improvements to aftermarket sales and service.

  • Manage complex decision making effectively among multiple stakeholders.

  • Exercise strong business acumen and value-based decision making.

  • Drive change and change management.

  • Understand impacts of decisions on others as well as self.

  • Place emphasis on how results happen, not just the result itself.

  • Set responsibilities and monitor for accountability.

  • Understand the company position in relation to competition in the industry and the global marketplace.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.

  • Understanding of business fundamentals required.

  • At least 3 years of experience in Machine design desired.

  • At least 5 years of Engineering experience in Mining or Construction required

  • Previous leadership experience, managing people/projects required.

  • Effective understanding of product marketing principles.

  • Project management experience required.

  • Leadership of effective Change Management implementation desired.

  • Experience in implementing Engineering standards and principles desired.
