The Headlines:

We are seeking an Advanced Analytics Team Lead to join our team supporting Marketing Analytics, Consumer Analytics and eCommerce Analytics. This role is perfect for an earlier-career professional with a strong technical & data science background and some experience in leading projects. The ideal candidate will align the team’s work with our strategic priorities, build and manage development work plans, ensure timely delivery of projects, and play a key role in reviewing code and troubleshooting technical issues. The successful candidate will have expertise in Python and SQL, and experience with machine learning and AI data products.

The Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Alignment & Planning:

  2. Work closely with stakeholders to understand and align with strategic priorities.

  3. Develop comprehensive work plans for the development team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  4. Project Management & Accountability:

  5. Oversee the execution of work plans, managing timelines and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.

  6. Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or roadblocks as they arise.

  7. Technical Oversight & Code Review:

  8. Review and provide feedback on delivered work via Python and SQL code reviews.

  9. Troubleshoot technical issues, offering solutions and guidance to resolve problems efficiently.

  10. Provide ad hoc data analytics to support end-to-end data product development and delivery.

  11. Solution Design & Implementation:

  12. Contribute to the design and development of machine learning and AI data products.

  13. Collaborate with the development team to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  14. Team Collaboration:

  15. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the development team.

  16. Mentor junior team members and provide support in their technical growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of experience in a technical role with some experience in team leadership or project management.

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in coding, debugging, and code review.

  • Experience with machine learning and AI data products.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and influence stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.

  • Understanding of CPG industry dynamics and marketing analytics.
