Western Digital Technologies Staff Engineer, Full-Stack Data Scientist in Milpitas, California
The Design Enablement and Automation team is seeking an experienced full-stack data scientist with strong software engineering, AI and Machine Learning skills to develop data-driven automation tools for improving business and engineering efficiency. You will be involved in all aspects in the solution development process: from data collection, to exploratory data analysis, to deploying machine learning models, data visualizations and generative AI agents to production environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implementing, training, fine-tuning and deploying AI/ML models and generative AI assistants
- Setting up automated data pipelines to raw logs into structured data sources
- Analyzing and verifying data across multiple big data sources
- Creating interactive web-based data visualizations
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions
- Proposing and developing new features and enhancements for existing applications
