Linnaeus Veterinary Patient Care Assistant - Nights in United Kingdom

Your roles and responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic animal lover to join our vibrant team as a Veterinary Patient Care Assistant working in our busy, purpose-built referral hospital that is fully equipped with surgical equipment and diagnostic facilities commensurate with a specialist veterinary hospital.The position involves all aspects of animal care of inpatients across a wide range of disciplines.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract working as a Night Veterinary Patient Care Assistant.

This position is full-time working a pattern of 5 nights on Monday to Friday and 9 nights off. Your working week would be a 60 hour week, working 12-hour shifts between the hours of 19:00 and 7:00.

During your shift, you can expect to assist the Nurses with inpatient care, administering oral medication, monitoring, and recording accurately, feeding and walking as well as ensuring the wards and kennels are cleaned and restocked.

You will be highly organised and have a passion and drive for delivering outstanding client and patient care. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a supportive working environment whilst also being able to use your initiative.

Animal experience is desirable or experience within a similar role. Full training will be given. You can expect daily opportunities to learn and develop your skills.
