Croda, Inc Process Operator in MILL HALL, Pennsylvania

As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Process Operator to join our Production team in Mill Hall, PA.

 

You will be responsible for safely performing all duties associated with the operational aspect of production, including but not limited to the receiving and charging of raw materials, the operation of vessels, and the extraction and packaging of finished product.  All work done with compliance to SHE guidelines, government regulations, cGMP, manufacturing packets and process procedures, and at the discretion of the controlling supervisor.

What You'll Be Doing:

•                Ensure Compliance and Excellence:* *Operate vessels, ancillary equipment (e.g. cleaning and washing drums, carboard bailer, inline filter), monitoring temperature and pressure/charge and discharge raw materials/run boil outs.

•                Directly Support Safety Standards: Follow established procedures to operate safely, in an environmentally sound manner, and according to cGMP including during emergencies, startup & shut down, and OSHA related issues. Understand the appropriately use of personal protective equipment.

•                Inspire Team Members: Maintain safe and healthy work environment compliance to SHE guidelines, government regulations, cGMP, and manufacturing procedures, while holding others accountable for safety.

•                Engage and Communicate: Regularly access and utilize electronic communication tools and procedures, such as email and Intelex, to stay informed and ensure compliance.

•                Lead with Confidence: Pick raw materials from storage, handle and locate chemicals, package products, and repackage as needed.

•                Support Production Process: Operate a fork truck to assist with material handling and transportation.

•                Quality Control: Follow sampling procedures to take product samples to the lab, obtain results, and adjust batches as necessary. Accurately record basic data on batch sheets.

•                Make a Difference: Ensure the production of finished goods meets customer specifications and quality standards.

 

Who We're Looking For:

•                Manufacturing experience preferred.

•                Education / specialized training required: High school graduate.  Fork truck training and license.  Safety training.  Basic math skills (computation) and basic reading comprehension.

•                Physical requirements: Must be able to walk, stand or sit for a minimum of 12 hours a day. Able to lift 50 pounds and 155 pounds with help.  Required to move throughout the production floor including uneven surfaces, climb stairs and ladders.  Must be able to war a respirator and pass all pulmonary function tests.
