Outbound Logistics Manager Job Locations US-WA-Bothell ID 2024-16812 Job Function Logistics & Supply Chain Overview Job Summary: Manages the Logistics Outbound team, processes and systems required to plan and execute outbound logistics for all NanoString sites. Focusing on kitting and shipping, this role will be responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the team, processes and systems required to meet all customer order demand across all modes. Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) while ensuring customer and stakeholder needs are met. Responsibilities Essential Functions: Leads and manages the Outbound Logistics operations. Manages and mentors a team 10-15 material handlers in the execution of kitting and shipping operations. Serves as the front-line manager and leader for outbound team in supporting domestic and international shipping. As a subject matter expert, provide leadership in developing current and future systems and processes. Able to provide direction and make decisions on behalf of Logistics in the best interests of NanoString and NanoString customers. Accountable for the developing and achieving outbound kitting and shipping goals and KPIs. Ensure teams operate in compliance with current SOPs and business policies. Conduct root cause analysis, recommend courses of action, and execute processes to achieve error free kitting and shipping. Conduct data analysis to drive higher throughput, efficiency, and on time delivery. Able to navigate ERP and WMS systems to kit, transact, transfer and ship outbound goods and products across multiple modes, temperature ranges and locations. Coaches, builds and mentors a team of associates in order to maximize team efficiency, effectiveness and development. Tracks and publishes key performance indicators, logistics metrics, and associated dashboards to the broader organization. Qualifications Requirements (Education, Experience, Specific Skills): Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, science or related degree. Experience with warehouse and logistics systems (WMS, ERP, TMS). 5+ years of progressive professional experience developing, implementing and managing a team of logistics and/or supply chain associates. Biological, medical device, and/or cold chain material handling experience preferred. Familiar with transportation operation to include: Air, TL, LTL and parcel shipping domestically and internationally. Proven experience successfully managing multiple priorities and projects with critical deadlines; exceptional planning and organizational skills. Ability to build trust and confidence with leadership and operations teams and influence change through comprehensive risk assessments and cross functional leadership. Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Strong data analytics skills (Power BI and excel) At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $77,000 and $107,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
