*Sign on Bonus Available Pay: $40-$55 per hour Relocation Available Expiration Date of Job Posting: Continuous POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead/Foreman Electrician is primarily responsible for establishing and managing the Electrician operations within the company. The position is responsible for finding and developing contracting opportunities, estimating work to be performed accurately, and managing the work to be performed successfully. This involves performing the work as necessary including assembling, installing, testing and inspecting electrical equipment. This position involves identifying safety risks and using the right precautions to eliminate the risks. The right candidate should be comfortable and knowledgeable with hand tools needed for tasks such as installing and modifying cable trays. It is important that this person has color vision, as it is imperative to identify different types, gauges, and color of cables and wires. Hires and supervises electrician technicians and is responsible for managing their performance. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
4 years of experience working as a Commercial/Industrial Electrician.
3 years of Commercial/Industrial estimating experience; can be parallel with other work.
Completed Journeyman Electrician Certificate, hold a current license, and will maintain such license.
Able to read blue prints and schematics proficiently to determine the scope of work locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
Experience managing crews of electricians and or apprentices.
Can demonstrate former knowledge and experience working on medium or high voltage systems.
Knowledgeable in basic electrical theory, for example but not limited to ohms law.
Able to install and modify cable tray using hand tools and power tools.
Can bend and cut conduit using hand saws, hand tube bending equipment as well as power and hydraulic cutting and tube bending devices.
Proficient in cable pulling methods used to run cable through specified pathways.
Able to use specialized electrical tools such as but not limited to ohm meters, multi-meters, and terminating devices.
Must be able to terminate both High and low voltage equipment and cable/wiring.
Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical components relative to automation.
Has the ability to trouble shoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
Can identify different types, gauges, and color of cables and wires.
Mechanical and electrical knowledge of components relative to automation.
Able to serve as a supervisor for apprentices providing for all the hours, documentation, and support for apprentices to become licensed Journeymen.
HELPFUL AND OPTIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of oil field drill sites and the necessary electrical requirements common to such locations.
Work with pure industrial facilities, power plants, manufacturing operations, and similar sites.
Work with process automation controls and equipment like those utilized by the company currently.
Experience with heat-tracing applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proficiently identify work opportunities related to electrical contracting and contract for that work to be performed within pricing and process guidelines.
Run Crew and jobs as needed.
Effectively lead and manage people to a high level of performance.
Identify all tools required for tasks.
Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
Install, modify, and fabricate cable tray as necessary according specifications.
Assemble and install electrical equipment.
Terminate wires and cable to electrical equipment such as but not limited to breakers, control panels and distribution systems.
Test electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings according to specifications.
Inspect electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and to ensure the equipment is in good operational condition.
Setup and maintain temporary power systems.
Install and maintain grounding systems for all equipment and structures.
Able to follow instructions correctly.
Reliable, accountable, and consistent in performing administrative processes is a must.
Can illustrate knowledge and experience of working with a lock out tag out system.
Willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations.
Able to make it to work on time and work the designated schedule and any overtime as needed with the proper notification.
Responsible for obtaining E-Certs or proper licensing for electrical jobs and projects.
Demonstrated proficiency with training of team members in both in class on field training circumstances.
Effectively estimate the time and materials necessary to complete the job and ensure that target margins for the work are regularly achieved.
Continuous learner keeping up with changes in electrical codes and optimal work processes for industrial facilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
