We are in search of a Jordan Senior Professional Stores Marketing, to join the team in Milan, Italy. This role is responsible for executing and communicating seasonal plans that power Jordan marketplace in Italy with a specific focus on Milan. This includes the Jordan mono-brand store, Nike Direct and Marketplace partners.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for sport, a curiosity for our young consumer, a connection to/understanding of Milan streetwear culture and an ability to uncover stories that will inspire the next generation. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a Stores Marketing Senior Professional for the Jordan Brand, you will be responsible for supporting retail vision and enabling the execution of the Jordan Brand within the marketplace. This role requires stores marketing, brand marketing and insights gathering acumen. You will work on marketing initiatives that focus brand and business success of Jordan streetwear, sport, and energy product journeys, experiences, and content. You will be expected to deliver market/consumer insights to inform seasonal plans. The candidate will stay current on Jordan fleetwide retail capabilities inclusive of visual merchandising standards, along with the latest retail trends and industry standards. This role will also own the cadence and implementation of the store athlete trainings.

This role will also be responsible for supporting our Jordan Field of Play point of view on the ground in Milan, Italy:

  • Coordinating with the EMEA Field of Play brand teams to support the amplification of key Concept Map stories through on-the-ground executions. This can include but is not limited to pinnacle Jordan brand executions but also come through our Nike partners in the form of on-the-ground partner marketing executions.

  • Supporting the identification & gathering of structured and continuous consumer insights to allow us to better serve athletes* on the ground in Milan and then feeding back these insights to the EMEA geo team to help refine our longer-term strategy.

All roles in our organization, while generally specific in functional or Field of Play connectivity, will need to be agile to some extent. This will ensure that in an ever-changing landscape, and with a Concept Map that sometimes focuses more deeply on one area of the Brand & Business, that we always have enough resource to ensure pinnacle execution of our most key priorities. This role will be generally focused on stores marketing, but in times where the organization may require, you may need to step into other marketing functional work.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a Jordan Senior Professional Stores Marketing, you will report directly into the EMEA Direct Stores Marketing Director for Jordan with a dotted line to EMEA Nike Partner marketing director. You will work fluidly across the Jordan Milan marketing team but will also work cross-functionally within Jordan EMEA marketing key partners such as stores marketing, digital marketing, partner marketing, field of play brand management, Consumer insights team and EMEA operational support functions. A core focus will be with retail and partner marketing executing store strategy, store direction, store athlete training, and gathering market and consumer insights.

WHAT YOU BRING

A successful candidate will be expected to clearly demonstrate and articulate experience of the below essential requirements to be considered. Candidates that meet these criteria will then be assessed based on the competencies also outlined below.

The role requires strong communication, analytic acumen, and foundational understanding of marketing products, services and Visual Merchandising. This role will be a key communication partner to Geography and City teammates that enable aligned briefs, plans and tool handover, therefore this role requires proven success in working within a matrix organization.

Essential Requirements

  • Extensive proven experience in premium Stores Marketing with a specific focus on O2O and cross-functional marketing.

  • Fashion and/or Sport retail experience is critical

  • Prior marketing experience in Milan and a demonstrable understanding of the hyper local consumer, the city and Jordan’s position within it, with a track record of making strategic marketing decisions within this environment.

  • Prior experience in multiple category/construct/city brand roles, able to define and understand the full spectrum of the city consumer, and a desire to better connect with them on all dimensions of the Jordan Field of plays: Streetwear, Sport and Energy.

  • Proven experience identifying and managing external relationships with individuals, retail franchise partners and Nike partners, aligned to Jordan’s strategic objectives.

  • Prior experience in delivering inspiration and training to retail teams

  • A proven track record of Visual Merchandising understanding

  • Ability to travel up to 15%
