Financial Account Manager – Captive & Insurance Management (Milan, Italy / Hybrid)

What the day will look like

  • First point of contact for clients in connection to accounting and investment matters.

  • Production and review of Management Accounts, Management Reports, Statutory Accounts, and all other reporting requirements within pre-set time frames.

  • Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff and clients while recommending further courses of action.

  • Producing budgets and forecasts in conjunction with the relevant client needs.

  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of finance and regulatory matters such as Solvency II, taxation, accounting standards, etc.

  • Manage, guide, and lead the Finance team to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used and deadlines are met.

  • Collaborating with clients to understand their reporting requirements and ensuring that all deadlines are met.

  • Review and interpretation of contractual documentation to resolve appropriate accounting treatment.

  • Responsible for the preparation of board papers to a very high standard.

  • Responsibility for all regulatory matters

    Skills and experience that will lead to success.

  • Qualified Accounted – ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent – highly desirable, or part qualified as a minimum.

  • Experience within the Captive or general Insurance Market – highly desirable

  • Knowledge of insurance industry - products, regulations, and developments – highly desirable

  • Leadership, supervisory and presentation skills – desirable

  • Fluent Italian and English language skills are essential.
