Zions Bancorporation Software Engineer Full Stack (Java & React) in Midvale, Utah

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join Zions Bancorporation, that is an expert in both Java Spring Boot and React. This person plays a key role in delivering our new Customer 360 experience and building a foundation for this next generation unifying application.

Customer 360 is an innovative digital experience allowing customers to access their full banking relationship in one place. We are looking to transform all their interactions into an easy to use, well designed interface.

Responsibilities:

  • Participation in all aspects of an Agile development project lifecycle

  • Identify and resolve complex software issues, ensure system stability and application performance

  • Participate in Technical Designs and engineering collaboration sessions

  • Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices

  • Work closely with UX Designer and QA to deliver stories

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise for your team

  • End-to-end ownership of story delivery

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

  • 4+ years developing using Java and Spring Boot

  • 3+ years of experience with HTML/CSS and JavaScript

  • 2+ years working in React and related frontend frameworks

  • Experience with Microservices, RESTful APIs, and JSON

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment

  • Deep understanding of modern software design patterns and coding standards

  • Proficient with Git and version control systems

  • Exposure to cloud-based platforms (i.e. Azure, GCP, AWS) is a plus

  • Experience developing for Docker and Kubernetes is a plus

  • Familiar with Azure DevOps task boards, CI/CD, and pull requests is a plus

    Location:

    This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.

    The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus is the company’s primary technology and operations center.
