Robert Half Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager in Midvale, Utah

Description We are offering a unique opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager in the E-Business/Commerce industry, located in Midvale, Utah, United States. This role will involve overseeing all activities and staff within the accounts payable function, being accountable for all external payments and invoice processing. This role is best suited for those with experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate, timely processing of all external payments

• Oversee all aspects of partner billing

• Manage staff effectively, producing high productivity and quality work

• Review and approve staff work

• Evaluate existing procedures to identify deficiencies and drive process improvement

• Accurate, timely journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

• Act as a liaison between department executives and the accounts payable department

• Provide support and assistance for finance related IT projects and new business activities

• Perform other duties as required and assigned by director and upper management

• Follow legal policies as directed. Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) or similar role with a minimum of 7 years of experience.

• Proficiency in utilizing e-business/commerce platforms for financial transactions.

• Demonstrated ability to supervise a team, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in managing financial data.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with stakeholders.

• Proficiency in using financial software and applications for efficient work processes.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in high volume environments.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.

• Professional certification such as Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) will be an added advantage.

• Strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality, given the sensitive nature of the information handled.

• Proven ability to drive process improvements in the Accounts Payable function.
