Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry. This role involves quality inspection, developing quality inspection plans, and participating in material and failure review boards. The ideal candidate will have a in electrical/electronics and be knowledgeable in non-conformance reporting, manufacturing execution systems, and inspection tools. The position supports second shift operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections and develop quality inspection plans.

• Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) and Failure Review Board (FRB) activities.

• Report and manage non-conformances.

• Utilize Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for production tracking and quality management.

• Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in inspection processes.

• Use various inspection tools to ensure product quality.

• Support functional tests and rework processes.

• Work on second shift operations to support production needs.

Essential Skills

• 5-7 years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace and defense industry.

• Proficiency in quality inspection and developing quality inspection plans.

• Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) and Failure Review Board (FRB) activities.

• Knowledge of non-conformance reporting and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Experience with inspection tools and techniques.

• electrical and electronics testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in micron antenna bonding and micron electronics integration.

• Proficiency in micron functional testing and rework processes.

• Experience in satellite manufacturing.

Work Environment

This position is on-site at the client location in West Texas, supporting a start-up company involved in satellite manufacturing for the space industry. The role is based in Midland, TX and supports second shift operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00

Company offers comprehensive comp package with salary, stipend of $1050 a month, hotel stay for 2 months, stock or RSU options, and relocation assistance between 10-15k that is given on their first check.

This is a fully onsite position in Midland,TX.
