Description We are in the search of a Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team in the retail industry, based in Midland, Texas. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, effectiveness, and security of our network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network solutions using Cisco Meraki technologies

• Develop and execute network configuration, deployment, and support processes

• Ensure network scalability to meet current and future business needs

• Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies

• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network operations

• Collaborate with other IT team members to support and manage the overall IT infrastructure

• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and resolve network-related issues promptly

• Manage relationships with Managed Security Service Providers, ensuring they meet performance and security standards

• Coordinate with Managed Security Service Providers to implement security measures and respond to security incidents effectively

• Implement and enforce network security protocols to protect against unauthorized access, breaches, and other threats

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices

• Identify opportunities for network optimization and propose innovative solutions Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer, preferably within the retail industry

• Demonstrable proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

• Proficient in using and managing Checkpoint systems

• Familiarity with Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and other Cisco Technologies

• Experience with Computer Hardware, including troubleshooting and maintenance

• Proficiency in Configuration Management and Design

• Strong knowledge of Firewall Technologies, including installation, management, and troubleshooting

• Experience with Meraki systems and its associated software

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members

• Relevant certifications in Network Engineering or related field would be advantageous
