Position Description

Kinder Morgan CO2, one of the largest CO2 providers and CO2 tertiary recovery companies in the US, is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual that will provide technical engineering support to a team developing new flood opportunities. Position level commensurate with experience and skill sets. The successful candidate will:

  • Leverage the output of a group of reservoir & production engineers.

  • Constantly seek to develop professionally and personally.

  • Possess aptitude to exploit the subtleties of software and to learn new software quickly.

  • Develop familiarity with the depletion strategies of Company assets.

  • Prepare data set input, and create presentation materials to assist engineers in their duties.

  • Provide input as may be requested for reserves determination.

  • Manage and maintain the OFM workspaces for multiple assets.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years in the oil and gas industry and/or equivalent industry.

  • Power User in Oil Field Management (OFM). Ability to configure OFM workspaces and create visualizations, reports, and calculated project variables. Need to be able to manage OFM workspaces for multiple users and various assets.

  • Understands basic oilfield terminology and operations.

  • Demonstrates ability to proficiently use and/or learn petroleum software such as OFM, Petra, DSS, Aries, GEM, Petrel/Eclipse, etc.

  • Excellent communicator with the team, operations, and other corporate groups.

  • High proficiency with MS-Office applications: Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to take direction from supervisor(s), focuses attention on detail, follow work schedules, and follow work rules.

  • Good overall practical oilfield operations knowledge.

  • Waterflood and/or CO2 flood experience a plus

  • Good time management-skills. Ability to juggle multiple projects.

  • Data management capability.

  • Spotfire and Wellview proficiency is an advantage.
