Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Midland Park, New Jersey. The primary function of this role is to handle external audit work for multiple clients, supervise staff accountants, maintain internal controls, and review financial statements. This role is situated within the public accounting industry and provides an exciting opportunity for career growth.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting external audits for various clients to ensure financial transparency and compliance

• Supervising and providing guidance to staff accountants during engagements

• Implementing and maintaining internal controls to optimize efficiency and reduce risks

• Reviewing financial statements and reports for accuracy and legal compliance

• Leveraging knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB in auditing and accounting tasks

• Utilizing MS Excel to perform account analysis and manage financial data

• Collaborating with team members and clients to resolve inquiries and issues

• Ensuring all accounting procedures align with federal and state law requirements

• Continually updating knowledge and skills in the accounting industry to foster professional growth

• Maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion when handling client information. Requirements • Possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.

• Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Demonstrate experience in account analysis and financial reporting.

• Possess strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Proven ability to prepare accurate financial statements and reports.

• Experience with accounting software and databases.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Possess a high level of integrity and dependability.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
