SSOE is looking to hire a Structural Designer to join our team allowing the selected individual with the opportunity to participate in the design of state-of-the-art industrial and manufacturing facilities for the world's leading companies. As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for working with other design teams to create exciting and complex designs that incorporate some of the latest design techniques, while ensuring that all specifications are met, and to ensure timely completion of projects.
Responsibilities
Completes entry level assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities. Applies academic knowledge and training in the use of various building materials and systems. Works under the direction of a project structural engineer; receives specific and detailed instruction as to required tasks and results. Performs elementary structural assignments and generally works from designs of others, compiles data, performs simple design studies and evaluations, estimates quantity take-offs, and assists in preparation of cost estimates with increasing responsibility based on performance. Drafts own and others designs into completed working drawings. Travel required.
Qualifications
Associate Engineering Degree required with little or no practical working experience. Exceptions may be based upon equivalencies. Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments. Salary Range: $48,000 - $56,000 /year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
