Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

Company based out of Harrisburg, PA will be doing projects within 1.5 hours of Harrisburg. Candidates will drive to the shop then ride out unless the job is closer to their home. Company specializes in underground repair, sewers, drains, and the occasional HVAC project.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with pipelaying experience to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery and laying pipes, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities: - Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bulldozers to dig trenches and lay pipes - Assemble and lay pipes according to project specifications and city ordinances - Make connections to sewer lines, water lines, and storm sewers - Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation - Collaborate with project managers and other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met - Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

Hard Skills

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator with pipelaying experience

• Knowledge of operating and maintaining heavy machinery

• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Middletown, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

Will work in groups of 2-4. Outdoors.
