JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Harrisburg is seeking an Assistant Director of Global Engagement. This position is responsible for supporting the Office of Global Engagement in various areas, including managing international visiting delegations, event planning, global engagement activities, international agreements, marketing and communications, research, and data management.
This position is a term appointment funded for one year from the date of hire with an excellent possibility of re-funding.
Responsibilities:
International Delegations & Program/Event Management: Plan and organize international visiting delegations and programs/events. Oversee event planning, budget management, timelines, logistics, and the development of briefing documents and information.
Global Engagement Support: Manage the application process for internal funding, assist with travel arrangements, and support the development and renewal of international agreements through data entry and record management.
Marketing & Communications: Lead marketing efforts by creating content, managing campaigns, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance global engagement visibility.
Research & Data Management: Conduct research on international universities/institutions, prepare reports and presentations, and manage data through dashboards and record-keeping systems.
Office Support: Participate in planning, oversee operations in the Director’s absence, represent the Director in meetings, ensure operational compliance with guidelines, and engage in professional development and continuing education. Perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

About the Office of Global Engagement at Penn State HarrisburgUnder the direction of the Assistant Dean for Global Engagement and reporting to the Chancellor and Dean, the Global Engagement Office at Penn State Harrisburg supports the university’s internationalization efforts. The office fosters partnerships with international institutions, develops global initiatives, and enhances student and faculty global engagement. The office also supports over 700 international students, strengthens global research collaborations, and coordinates 17 international agreements with universities across Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$46,400.00 - $67,300.00
