Charles IT Associate Project Manager in Middletown, Connecticut

Due to growth, we are currently seeking to add an Associate Project Manager to our exceptional team. You will work closely with our project manager and project coordinator to ensure that our projects are being executed successfully. Being detail-oriented, extremely organized and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are key skills for this position. We are looking to hire someone into this position with the intention of growing them into a full project manager position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for successful scheduling, managing and completion of projects on time and on budget.

  • Coordinate schedules and logistics for project execution

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to identify trends and roadblocks within projects

  • Assist in maintaining overall project calendar

  • Coordinate directly with clients on project timelines, onsite visits and project cutovers

  • Assist Project Coordinator in identifying the proper resources to utilize for each project

  • Work with technicians to adjust project timelines and develop change orders as needed throughout a project’s lifecycle

  • Take on and resolve escalations from the project coordinator

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in a related field, or 3+ years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Prior experience in coordinating or managing projects is required, ideally within the technology field.

  • Proven experience with logistics, scheduling, or dispatching is essential.

  • PMP or Project+ certification is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on projects and tasks to completion.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in typing and data entry.

  • Solid customer service abilities, including telephone, email, and computer/CRM skills; proficiency with business collaboration tools like the MS Office Suite.

  • Enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate about helping others and providing excellent customer service.

  • Must be able to pass a background check.

  • A current, valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
