POSITION SUMMARY:

The effective Golf Course Superintendent will be responsible for the golf course's growth, performance, and optimization. The Golf Course Superintendent will be a point of contact for the customer and be responsible for developing and maintaining a great customer relationship. The Golf Course Superintendent will oversee all golf maintenance operations, including the customer experience, and must work with the sales and administration team to develop a safe, cohesive, structured, and successful departmental culture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive a culture of safety in the entire Branch.

  • Develop and drive a culture of continually improving the customer experience while meeting retention and financial return goals.

  • Work with and develop the Golf Course Staff, to organize and route field staff and oversee all aspects of their work.

  • Manage Golf Department efficiency and maintain specific efficiencies and financial goals.

  • Drive the overall customer experience, including on-spec service, efficient and safe operating procedures, and other customer-facing processes.

  • Work with the Administration team to ensure all information relating to accounts payable and payroll are turned in and updated promptly.

  • Direct and guide the fleet manager in developing a shop maintenance department that operates efficiently and focuses on maintaining safe and properly operating equipment.

  • Work with the Assistant Golf Superintendent and Fleet Manager to develop and evaluate course goals and how to achieve them.

  • Develop and maintain specified customer relationships with GM and Board Members and Golf Pro.

  • Develop and drive a golf employee training program, ensuring the highest level of safety, job performance, and job satisfaction.

  • Review and develop monthly budgets that align with company goals.

  • Drive, oversee, and participate in enhancement and BCM sales.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience required.

  • At least 5 years experience in Golf Maintenance Management.

  • At least 2 years experience as a Golf Course Superintendent.

  • Significant experience leading teams in a geographically dispersed, service-oriented business.

  • Aspire experience is a plus.

SKILLS & ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Has demonstrated success in sales with strong customer experience and a track record of retention & growth.

  • Established ability to effectively communicate and build successful relationships at multiple levels.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills.

  • Working knowledge of the Golf Maintenance Industry

  • Efficient at using Microsoft Office programs.
