Position: Preschool Special Education Teacher. This position will be located within the Meigs Early Learning Center located in Meigs County, Ohio. Salary: Per Established Teacher Salary Schedule. This is a nine month position with Board approved benefits. Position Qualifications: ? Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education ? Appropriate current State of Ohio teaching certification/license ? Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate ? Must pass BCI and FBI background checks Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ? Knowledge of academic area and teaching methodology including familiarity with Ohio Early Learning Development Standard (birth-five) ? Ability to work effectively with others ? Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing ? Effective and active listening skills ? Organizational and problem-solving skills ? General computer skills Essential Functions: ? Ensure safety of all students ? Teach and evaluate students using sound instructional practices ? Manage classroom and individual student behavior effectively to maintain a safe environment ? Prepare clear and timely lesson plans that meet required guidelines ? Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required, including but not limited to staff and student files.
