We are looking for an experienced Critical services Supervisor to define the technical standards and drive operational excellence on-site. They will manage the on-site technical team and will collectively be responsible for all technical operations and processes, escalations, training, safety, and CE (Critical Environment) compliance across the Campus.

This position requires the individual to have a strong technical foundation (mechanical and electrical) in Data Centres or similar critical facility operations. They will provide leadership, management, and help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of the contract.

Responsibilities include:

· Provide supervision to and manage the site Day Technicians, Shift (Lead) Technicians, to ensure appropriate training plans, performance reviews and career progression is identified.

· Compliance with all CBRE and Client policies and procedures.

· Ensure the contract is staffed by a full competent team, which understands the expected standards they should be meeting.

· Assist the contract manager to build a team which is customer focused within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.

· Be a point of contact and support the technicians, giving leadership and guidance, advise, coaching and direct support where required to deliver best practice, training, assessment, and recognition/reward to undertake their roles, and can reach their full future potential.

· To ensure site is delivering all Critical Facility PPM’s and they are carried out to schedule, also ensure completion of all reactive works requests ensuring closing and completion in line with SLA’s.

· Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with CBRE and Client H&S procedures, using the permit to work system.

· Communicate all upcoming works to all required persons on a weekly basis.

· Oversee the development & implementation of all procedures, CE documentation and operating policies.

· Partner with the Contract Manager, Technical Planner and Contract Support to plan and execute against a broad array of business, strategic and Operational needs.

· Owns the full RCA process and delivers the final report to the Contract Manager and Client in line with the agreed contract requirements

· Create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement throughout the technical team and produce from all incidents, investigations, or RCA’s - learnings from experience documents to be shared internally on site

· Become LV & HV work manager and review, provide input and oversee all technical training requirements rolled out by the wider CBRE regarding electrical

· To deliver a performance level which achieves and beats the KPIs and SLAs set down in the Statement of Work with the client.

· Ensure appropriate control systems are in place to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met.

· Be the main point of contact during significant events or multi-discipline technical escalations occurring on-site 24/7.

· Continual development of CERM and DNA competency training.

· Review and development of SoP, ERP, MoPs and switching procedures within the Data Center.

· Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both client and company health and safety policy and the process are effectively implemented across both CBRE and subcontractor’s activities and are regularly reviewed.

· Responsible for providing the CE data required for all reports and meetings for the Data Center, which is further processed by the Contract Support.

· Guarantee the control and supervision of contractors when required.

Accountabilities:

· Reporting to the Contract Manager.

· Accountability to the CBRE Functional heads, as appropriate.

· Accountable day-to-day to the relevant client contacts.

· Line management responsibility for the shift (lead) technicians and day technicians and indirectly for relevant sub-contractors.

· No Purchase and Ledger Responsibility for the contract. However, should be financially aware and able to produce basic quotations for works.

· Maintains close working relationships with key client representatives.

Experience Required:

· 8+ years of work experience in Critical Environment Operations, preferably of Data Centers

· Understanding of Health and Safety requirements and be able to supervise others on all aspects of day-to-day health and safety.

· Experience in managing sub-contractors, running permit to work system and being accountable for others safety.

· Must have Stipel NEN 3840 IV/WV Electrical Qualification

· Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop systems, solutions, and products. Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience

· Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems

· Technical knowledge and/or experience of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure used in a data center environment.

· Strong understanding of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) and tools.

· Experience in managing escalation and emergency issues.

· Prior operations management experience including team management, work schedules, and performance reviews.

· Willingness to work outside of normal hours and be an escalation to resolve technical issues in a 24/7 industry.

· Knowledge of emergency response / standby/ call out activities and protocols.

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with the client, employees, and subcontractors.

· Numerate and computer literate. Intermediate to advanced software skills – MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Visio and Microsoft Project.

Circumstances

· Will be required to travel on occasions to support operational delivery and participate in training and business reviews. Some overnight stays may be required.

· Must be willing to be flexible in their working patterns as needed to support requirements dictated by the rhythm of the business.
