What we’re looking for:
A skilled Set-Up Mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair machinery used in the Personal Care industry (piston fillers, cappers, tube fillers, coders, labelers, etc.).
How you’ll fit in:
As our Set-Up Mechanic, you will be responsible for the set-up and maintenance of production lines. You’ll repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as fillers, cappers, in-line labelers, coders, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines and mechanical systems.
What you’ll do:
Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
Repair or replace defective parts
Install special functional and structural parts in devices
Lubricate and clean parts
Start a device to test its performance
Repair electrical equipment
Change over equipment within predetermined standard of time
Assist and train other mechanics in the performance of their duties
Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
What you have:
Experience working as a mechanic in a personal care, cosmetic, or other manufacturing environment
Manual dexterity and great attention to detail
The ability to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions
Very good communication skills and problem-solving ability
History of completing all tasks and assignments in a safe and timely manner
A drive for continuous self-improvement to increase personal productivity
