The department of Clinical Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Systems Administrator to work at UHealth. The Systems Administrator maintains and administers computer networks and equipment to ensure optimal performance in and fast recovery from emergency situations. The incumbent ensures effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, and related infrastructure.

  • Responsibility as a CMMS administrator updates the medical equipment inventory, including oversight of Preventive Maintenance requirements, schedules, and procedures.

  • Develops workflow standardization with department leaders, reviews and leads efforts for systems data integrity and standardizations, and implements solutions to address issues or changes for Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS).

  • Acts as contact point with IT regarding system down time.

  • Provides technical support services.

  • Provides project management services and support.

  • Follows IT project management protocol.

  • Advocates user perspective and focuses on ensuring a comprehensive support plan and documentation.

  • Works with end users to navigate the project request process.

  • Ensures compliance with IT, University of Miami, UHealth, Joint Commission, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act guidelines, policies, and procedures.

  • Responsible for the medical equipment inventory data integrity verification in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) database.

  • Assists with the inventory, labeling, and record creation of medical equipment supporting the technical staff.

  • Assists with the creation of dashboards and KPI reports.

  • Attends, participates in, and conducts department and administrative meetings, as required. Develops and maintains centralized regulatory resource reference library of medical equipment Original Equipment Manufacturer manuals.

  • Manages the Clinical Engineering testing, diagnostic, and measurement equipment (TMDE) inventory.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

  • Lean/Six Sigma yellow belt or above, preferred.

  • Smartsheet certification, preferred. Smartsheet certification is required within the first year of employment.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.

  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.

Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
