Aston Carter Staff Accountant in Miami, Florida

Staff Accountant opportunity in Miami FL! This is an on site role. Must be bilingual in Spanish!

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation and review of accounting entries, payment requests, and transactions with affiliates. You will also analyze ledger accounts, prepare financial statements, and explain variances against prior periods and projections. This role involves budget preparation and assisting the CFO and Accounting Manager with regulatory and ad-hoc reports and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and review of accounting entries.

  • Preparation of payment requests.

  • Review and accounting of transactions with affiliates.

  • Analysis of ledger accounts.

  • Preparation of financial statements.

  • Analysis and explanation of variances against prior period and projections.

  • Budget preparation.

  • Assist CFO and Accounting Manager with regulatory and ad-hoc reports and projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting

  • Strong understanding of debits and credits

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a must)

  • Time management skills to manage multiple deadlines

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

Work Environment

This role reports to the Accounting Manager and includes training by a Senior Accountant.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
