Carnival Cruise Line Revenue Management Ops Analyst in Miami, Florida

The Revenue Management Operations Analyst assesses sailing performance and revenue metrics to determine optimal pricing programs, maximizing revenue growth and occupancy. This role supports the development, enhancement, management, and implementation of Revenue Management pricing promotions and programs, specializing in maintaining the business's pricing model. This incumbent provides ongoing market segment analysis to optimize revenue and maintain demand levels, driving sustainable and profitable revenue growth through effective demand prediction and price optimization.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports key strategic programs, including mass market, casino, interline, select agent, net rates, and past guest offers, by leveraging analytical methods and processes to maximize ticket revenue, enable better decision-making, achieve strategic objectives, and improve efficiencies.

  • Develops, enhances, and implements pricing promotions and programs to optimize revenue opportunities for CCL’s fleet.

  • Facilitates cross-departmental collaboration with business partners to effectively implement pricing promotions and programs.

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of pricing programs and plans. Develops procedures for continuous review and adjustment of pricing promotions based on internal strategy and competitive landscape changes.

  • Collaborates with various business units to streamline and automate daily tasks, enhancing business effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Acts the internal subject matter expert for system enhancements and troubleshooting, including customer and travel partner-facing applications. Resolves issues related to offers and pricing within internal reservation systems (Navigator, carnival.com and GoCCL.com) and communicates findings clearly and concisely.

  • Collaborates with the Revenue Management team to support setup and pricing management activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

  • A minimum of 4 years of Revenue Management or related analytical experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Office products skill, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; proficient in other role-related tools, software, technologies, and applications required to successfully perform in this role.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and standards affecting the industry.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with teams from different departments, leveraging diverse expertise to achieve common goals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Comprehensive Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge and understanding of pricing and revenue management systems, concepts, trends, and best practices; a clear understanding of business processes, drivers and KPIs.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Social Skills: Proficient in managing relationships, building networks, and navigating social complexities in the workplace.

  • Excellent presentation, critical thinking, innovative reasoning, organizational, time management, project management, and adaptability skills to effectively manage changing priorities with a high level of quality.

  • This position requires the use and exercise of independent judgement.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel: 0-25% of shipboard travel/0-25% of shoreside travel

Work Conditions: Work in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
