Citigroup Private Banker Senior Lead, SVP in Miami, Florida

Citibank, N.A. seeks a/an Private Banker Senior Lead, SVP for its Miami, Florida location.

Duties: Design and implement wealth management strategies tailored to the distinct financial needs of UHNW (ultra-high net worth) individuals in the Peruvian and Chilean market using financial models, products, credit solutions and succession planning expertise. Assess local economic conditions, investment preferences, and regulatory environment to deliver tailored portfolio solutions that include both traditional liquid assets including bonds, equities, currencies, mutual funds, and alternative assets including private equity, real estate, and commodities. Establish, cultivate, and manage relationships with UHNW clients in Peru and Chile, utilizing knowledge of local investment profiles and trends in wealth structures. Design customized financial plans that integrate diverse asset class and long-term goals, ensuring alignment with clients’ personal and financial objectives. Leverage a strong local network including legal, tax, and regulatory experts in Peru and Chile, to stay current on shifting tax frameworks, regulatory trends, and upcoming liquidity events. Offer advanced estate planning solutions, taking into account the nuances of Peru and Chile’s tax and legal frameworks. Provide tailored succession plans that address generational wealth transfer while minimizing estate liabilities through local and international structure design. Monitor macroeconomic trends affecting the Peruvian/Chilean economy, such as currency fluctuations, inflation, and shifts in local monetary policies. Advise UHNW clients on how these factors impact asset allocation, their operational local businesses, and provide strategic adjustments to preserve wealth in volatile market conditions. Analyze and provide insights into regional economic trends that impact Peru and Chile, such as trade agreements, commodity price fluctuations, and regional political shifts. Leverage expertise in Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") process; Anti-Bribery and Corruption process; Client onboarding Know Your Customer ("KYC") and related procedures to ensure regulatory compliance of client base. Anticipate events in a client or prospect’s life that may have significant financial implications, positioning the firm to proactively adjust strategies and seize opportunities that can lead to new business. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of each client’s financial objectives, risk tolerance, and long-term goals by conducting regular assessments through client meetings, portfolio reviews, and financial modeling tools. Oversee and monitor book of clients to ensure that business goals are met and exceeded, while maintaining the highest level of client satisfaction. Perform periodic reporting, tracking investment performance against benchmarks, and identifying areas for optimization in client’s portfolios. Leverage advanced financial analysis tools and methods, such as Monte Carlo Simulations, ROE (return on equity), ROA (return on assets), and, Return Benchmarking to assess and project performance under various market conditions. Serve as a mentor within the team, providing expert advice and guidance on financial strategies and client management to junior staff. Facilitate training sessions, share best practices, and continuously mentor team members. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent), in Economics, Political Science, Sustainable Business or related field and 5 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience as a Client Advisor, Associate – SC Banker, Global Investment Analyst or related position involving Private Banking, Investment Management, Relationship Management, and Trading in Peru. 5 years of experience must include: Private Banking in UHNW Peruvian market; Target Client Acquisition and relationship development; Wealth management for UHNW individuals: portfolio management, credit solutions, and estate and succession planning; Book and Revenue Management, Client Planning; KYC and AML compliance; Financial Modeling; and ROE, ROA, Return Benchmarking, Monte Carlo simulations.
