SUMMARY The Manager of Planning is responsible for all planning and scheduling duties of the department. Organizes and tracks projects assigned by the V.P., Planning and Continuous Improvement as well as assists in establishing proper policies and procedures.

The Manager of Planning is also responsible for: -Evaluation and development of economic proposals for RFQ(s) -Confirming that work packages are properly bid based off customer supplied data -Ensuring that pre and post docks are conducted in a timely and informative manner -Overseeing the package preparation and work package review to ensure accuracy and accountability -Generating sequenced milestone schedules based off customer work requirements -Ensuring that a executable plan has been developed and handed off to Production for execution -Development and distribution of reports as may be required to support the organization's information and decision making needs -Robustness of departmental policy and procedures -Ensuring his/her own familiarity with customer contracts and ensures that requirements and/or guidelines established by the customer are followed accurately -Performance of such other tasks as may be reasonably assigned by her/his supervisor -All other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE -Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required. -Must possess a current and active FAA A&P License.
