Carnival Cruise Line Import/Export Coordinator in Miami, Florida

Job Description

The position is responsible for coordination of all international shipments (air, ocean, etc.) for Carnival Cruise Line. It coordinates and processes shipments and custom documents for import & export to CCL Fleet.

Job Functions:

  • Coordinate and prepare the necessary documentation and custom forms for the efficient and lawful execution of all import/export activities. Attention to detail and assure paperwork received is in matching order as to assist the receiving end for matching paperwork leading to proper vessel loading.

  • Liaise with other departments and warehouse to establish and maintain effective and relevant export/import activities

  • Verify and issue delivery orders to airlines, ocean carriers and custom brokers for international shipments. Communicate and arrange with the carriers for pickup of goods to include processing of import service fee payments to individual airline or handling agent.

  • Ensure all Custom forms (7512) arrived and exported in a timely manner as per CBP procedure. Maintain import file per Carnival procedure and customs regulations

  • Coordinate international hazmat orders for review and documentation

  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned by Sr Logistic Manager

  • Gather and Maintain all POD’s especially for the Medical Equipment and provide monthly Report.

  • Daily maintenance of air log with proper tracking to assure there is no cargo left behind leading to storage accrual.

  • Will lend support to the vessel landing team and assure proper instructions are provided to the vessels as well as all stakeholders.

  • Must maintain open communication with inside or outside carriers handling the pick ups especially early morning calls from the dispatcher with any issues the drivers may have at the airline in order to lend immediate support to assure cargo recovery.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree in Business/Logistics preferred.

  • Work Experience: 2+ years' experience in CBP transactions including bond issuance and closure preferred.

  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Robust Excel, AMS, Editrade or other Customer’s platform

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel: No travel.

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

The hourly range for this role is $18.00-$22.00. Offers to the selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
