The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", Information Technology Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Epic Analyst- EpicCare Ambulatory/Kaleidoscope .
The Epic Analyst assists Associate Epic Analysts on the team and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access. The Epic Analyst facilitates day-to-day application support and resolving application issues and provides day-to-day application support and resolving application issues.
Core Responsibilities:
Serve s as a support contact for application end ‐ users . Identifies issues and works to resolve them.
Designs, develops, implements, and maintains the application.
Supports all phases of testing and document workflow design.
Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow .
Provide s day-to-day application support, evaluates and resolves service tickets, implement s requested application changes, and retrieves requested data promptly.
Collaborate s with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
Assist s with analyzing the impact of information technology in clinical work processes .
Participate s in on-call rotations and support .
Attend s and participate s in applicable committees .
Maintain s regular communication with team members and participates in weekly project team meetings.
Review s the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership .
Become s knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions:
Travel to the job site during go-lives, conferences, rounding, and/or senior leadership meetings.
Providing oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts on the team
Implementing, building, and modifying the application
Collaborating with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access
Providing day-to-day application support and resolving application issues
Serve as a support contact for application end‐users
Design, develop, implement, and maintain the application
Support all phases of testing and document workflow design
Perform analysis of new releases and determine how they will impact workflow
Identify issues and work to resolve them
Provide day-to-day application support, evaluate and resolve service tickets, implement requested application changes, and retrieve requested data in a timely manner
Collaborate with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies
Maintain regular communication with team members and participate in weekly project team meetings
Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership
Become knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s d egree in relevant field
EpicCare Ambulatory and Kaleidoscope Certifications required
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization
Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills preferred
Familiarity with physician practices' workflows, hospital outpatient departments and patient experiences preferred
Familiarity with ophthalmology physician practices' workflows preferred
Understanding of a wide array of integration points, including scheduling, lab, radiology, billing, imaging, and inpatient clinical preferred
Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel
Problem Solving: Seeking, logically examining, and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problem's cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrence
Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner
Ability and willingness to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possible
Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees including senior leadership
