Humana STARS Improvement Lead in Miami Beach, Florida

CarePlus (Humana Subsidiary) Health Plans is seeking a Stars Improvement Lead of Patient / Member experience to implement provider, member and organizational focused improvement programs and activities for the Medicare line of business. This role will provide strategic input, develop work plans, and evaluations for leaders and stakeholders as well as the provider network. South Florida

The Stars Improvement Lead of Patient / Member experience will be responsible for:

  • CMS Patient Experience quality metrics (CAHPS, HOS, HEI) - from planning and strategy to campaign implementation, target segmentation, consumer research, competitive insights, and performance analysis

  • Relationship building to drive results within the organization and with the provider network as it relates to Patient Experience

  • Preparing and delivering training sessions, educational materials, performance reports, and presentations

  • Maintaining and developing the project plan and roadmap with the guidance of Stars Leadership.

  • Steering the department's performance in its given initiatives for Patient Experience.

  • Monitors quality within Patient Experience reporting and processes.

  • Responsible for communication, status reporting, risk management, report escalations and oversees the timely execution of initiatives per measure within scope and budget.

  • Directly monitor Stars Improvement Professionals and their day-to-day activities

Required Qualifications

  • 3 or more years demonstrated capability with leading and/or training and/or developing associates formally or informally (SME, etc.)

  • 2 or more years of Experience with Medicare Advantage

  • Understanding of CMS patient experience quality measures (CAHPS and HOS)

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and leaders

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Teams, Sharepoint and PowerPoint

  • Proven analytical skills (Ie trending and analysis of healthcare data)

  • Live in South Florida area

  • Travel 25% of the time within state of FL

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP and/or Six Sigma certification

  • Previous experience planning and managing large projects

  • Prior experience in the health solutions industry

  • Bilingual in Spanish

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced insurance or healthcare setting

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Able to work independently, managing own schedule, and taking initiative in own tasks and responsibilities.

This is a hybrid office position and going into the Blue Lagoon office

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$112,400 - $154,900 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
