A day in the life

  • Lead, mentor, challenge and grow other software engineers on the team

  • Develop and implement software solutions that leverage workflow automation, geospatial intelligence and mapping, and artificial intelligence to improve our clients' business processes

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy innovative software solutions that meet our clients' needs

  • Actively engage and participate in software architecture and design reviews

  • Maintain and enhance existing software applications to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the business

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our software solutions remain at the forefront of the industry

About the team

GR Tech manages software tools to centralize data about what buildings Amazon launches. Since inception, these tools have grown to encompass Amazon's worldwide operations (outside physical stores): we now cover thousands of active new launches, retrofit, and lease-related projects. We create global standards for managing data related to these capital projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
