The Sales Manager – Outside Sales will be responsible for prospecting, negotiating and acquiring directly large and middle market merchants in Mexico in order to drive incremental growth in Mexico. This position will be based in Mexico City

Key Responsibilities: • Sell PayPal’s payment processing services and manage the full sales lifecycle to onboard large branded eCommerce merchants. • Shepherd client relationships from the early stages of the sales process through to post-sales setup and integration. Continuously prospect and pitch new clients to secure incremental revenue by acquiring new business (merchants). • Create and/or review sales reports and forecasts, and ongoing status reports from prospects and clients. Monetize actual TIER 1 customer base. • Manage relationships through any necessary integration phase -- along with the technical integration and marketing manager -- until PayPal is live-to-site (LTS). • Work cross-functionally to gain buy-in, support, and assistance to complete the onboarding process accurately. • Interact with the different product teams to drive development of products that can support strategic partnerships. • Conduct business analytics to support each opportunity and monitor performance data. • Ability to set expectations and manage stakeholder relationships successfully. • Ability to build internal and external alliances to gain and share information including industry trends, general vertical and specific merchants performance.

About the person:

  • Individual must be highly effective in navigating all facets of the sales process, from prospecting to pitching to negotiation to closing.

  • Multiple negotiations variables skills.

  • This manager will need to have strong sense of urgency.

  • Prior success in selling into complex customer environments with a multiple decision makers (internal and external) at many levels is required.

  • MBA degree or applicable experience.

  • Technology/online industry experience, (not exclusively).

  • 8+ years of sales management, key account management or commercial positions.

  • Knowledge of online products, e-commerce & market dynamics; understanding of PayPal’s strategic and competitive position.

  • Large scale project management experience. Track record of effectively delivering large-scale and/or multiple projects at one time in very fast-moving environment

  • Ability to provide direction and prioritize team goals and workload

  • Ability to influence at all levels and work effectively across functions

  • Impeccable written and oral communication skills

  • “Can do” attitude, team player, fun, energetic personality, works well under pressure

  • Proven resilience in high ambiguity situations.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish
