JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Coordinator supports in the tactical execution of Field marketing and digital activities and programs for their assigned geographical area within Caribbean and Latin America. Assists in effectively communicating those efforts to stakeholders. Effectively manage multiple projects and coordinate campaigns via efforts such as offer submissions, creative assets, landing page creation and email marketing. Ensures that all invoices are processed and tracked in a timely manner. Relay a consistent marketing message reflective of Marriott International, Loyalty and Brand strategic direction and guidelines. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to stakeholder concerns.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience:

  • High School or GED equivalent degree required.

  • Bachelor degree preferred in Communications, marketing, hospitality management, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in Marketing -Preferred

  • Hotel property experience, hotel field marketing experience, or related- preferred

  • Must be fully proficient in written and spoken English and Spanish.

  • Excellent communication skills, including writing skills, with great attention to detail. Impeccable proofreading skills and outstanding grammar

  • Self-starter and ability to work independently – a must

  • Must be a team player and collaborate well with multiple stakeholders

  • Working knowledge of key database systems and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

  • Ability to handle many diverse projects simultaneously

  • Knowledge of photography, production, and print execution

  • Detail-oriented, creative, energetic, takes initiative

  • Able to effectively work independently or, at times, as part of a team

  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and consistently demonstrate a high level of organizational skills

  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in a timely manner

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Project Management Support

  • Coordinator will be trained on execution of marketing tactical updates and will be responsible for reporting out on efforts

  • Ensure marketing communications support regional, market, and hotel business objectives and goals

  • Ensure execution and fulfillment of projects as outlined on marketing communications plans

  • Ensure adherence to Corporate Advertising and Marketing Communications standards, brand standards, and format guidelines

  • Ensure Digital Media tagging, creative, and deployment are accurate and shared with team

  • Manages Field Marketing Internal Channel process

  • Ensure marketing information provided to the properties is accurate, complete, timely, and enables hotels to meet or exceed guest expectations

  • Develop strong working relationships with outside vendors to ensure quality, cost effective creative executions

  • Upload images and maintain property digital assets and job files

  • Support stakeholder communications, including presentations, webcasts, developing meeting collateral, or maintaining distribution lists

  • Resolves issues that arise as a result of the marketing process and brings issues to the attention of regional and property leadership team as appropriate

  • Conducts regular audits of Marriott.com and third-party Websites as requested to verify each hotel is optimized for high quality custom images, content, links, and accurate translations

  • Support administrative duties and special projects or tasks as assigned

  • Support Caribbean and Latin America Field Marketing efforts including copywriting, image sourcing, landing page creation, and emails.

  • Collect, review and submit invoices for marketing efforts and manage submission process in the internal invoice processing system in a timely and accurate manner.

Computer Skills

  • Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software), enter data, or process information.

  • Use computer systems and software packages to input, access, modify, store, or output information.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and stakeholders by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

  • Inform and/or update the account managers, supervisors, stakeholders, and peers on relevant information in a timely manner.

  • Speak to stakeholders and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.
