Eastman Cost Representative in Mexico City, Mexico

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a cost accountant in Mexico City office to join our Corporate Cost team, which is based in Kingsport, TN, at our global headquarters. This position includes individual responsibilities for calculations, analysis, and reporting as well as coordination and oversight of global processes primarily related to cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory. Across regions and departments/divisions, the group actively collaborates, troubleshoots, and drives continuous process improvements. Some examples of processes managed and/or coordinated by this team include: • EEOA, NRV, LIFO, Intercompany Profit Elimination, • annual physical inventory and cycle count process • corporate support and trouble-shooting of transfer pricing process • global mass cost estimate processing for quarterly updates and annual CSP process • internal and external audit support including support of SOX processes/controls • corporate support to facilitate the CO closing process and specific troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Assists, owns, or coordinates specific processes while serving as corporate focal point

• Works independently to perform responsibilities with minimal to moderate guidance and oversight

• Prepares global / consolidated reporting for areas of responsibility

• Leads small projects within areas of responsibility with manageable risks and resource requirements

• Identifies areas for improvement or productivity gain, outlines options and proposes recommendations on methods of achievement, and implements accordingly

• Creates analyses of the benefits and costs to address various situations and proposes recommendation of the most appropriate course of action

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment

• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written

• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate effectively both internationally and locally

• Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, establish priorities and meet deadlines

• 5+ years of SAP Actual Costing/Material Ledger experience preferred
