Job Description

Reporting to Director, Global Medical Operations Digital Content Management, this role will be responsible for leading the operational processes for Global and Affiliate content creation as well as Affiliate adoption/localization of Global content. This individual will be knowledgeable in content creation, review and approval processes across AbbVie Medical as well as how content is deployed/used by the various Medical channels. They will understand the issues/complexity in creating Global content for the purpose of Affiliate adoption and have a focus on how to resolve and streamline operational/system issues. This role will partner with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Therapeutic Areas, Medical Content Excellence, Medical Field Excellence, Digital Lab and BTS) to identify feedback group participants, evaluate new channels, and identify key areas of need to design a comprehensive approach for content creation and digital engagement.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point of escalation for issues preventing timely completion of content processes. Provides direct end-user support and troubleshoots day-to-day end user issues for Global and Affiliate content creators to ensure smooth content operational processes.

  • Develops and leverages in-depth knowledge of the Veeva Vault MedComms platform, processes, and functionality, including insight and understanding of the system integrations and new digital capabilities to support adoption and performance.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional colleagues and end users to identify opportunities for system and process enhancements to improve efficiency. This includes leading projects to create new processes, deploy new tools/system enhancements, content templates, guidelines and recommendations for optimal content experience.

  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of business operations and technology capabilities to effectively communicate, interact and influence key internal stakeholder groups on behalf of Global Medical Operations.

  • Collaborates with Analytics team to leverage existing or develop new metrics to demonstrate determined outcomes are being achieved. Utilizes insights to refine and deliver modified approaches to drive results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Technology, Communication, or Education.

  • More than 6 years of industry experience required, preferably in Medical Affairs or Commercial.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management or business transformation or technology implementation role or equivalent.

  • Experience with digital content technologies including how AI can be applied to content processes. Experience managing multiple projects and problem solving. Experience in leading in a multi-task environment as well as in a virtual and matrix organization.

  • Proven self-management and organizational skills; able to manage workload, set personal and team priorities and adjust as needed; financial acumen competence.

  • Demonstrated leading/inspiring change with positive outcomes by achieving results through people with no direct line management responsibility.

  • Strong business acumen, ability to think strategically and translate a strategy to an innovative and implementable plan with global and cross-functional and departmental impact.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills.
