Meet the team:
Come and be a part of our growing Accounting and Finance organization! We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with our manufacturing operations team. The role will primarily be responsible for the support of the San Diego manufacturing site & pilot innovation center. This role will be heavily engaged with accounting month-end activities such as accrual submissions, analysis of actuals vs budget/forecast, cost projections and provide readouts to explain deviations from expectations. Individuals will be expected to partner with global teammates to create various financial presentations, including actual vs budget/forecast variance analysis, expense trends, headcount analysis, and insightful variance explanations to help senior leadership understand risks and opportunities within their individual areas on a monthly basis. This opportunity offers unmatched exposure to the senior business leaders throughout the company (C-Suite), which makes this a highly visible role and unique in nature.
Where you come in:
- You will support & complete month-end closing & reporting activities.
- You will gain a deep understanding of the functional spend and help bridge a connection with the functional business owners and senior executives throughout the company as well as provide insight & support for cost reduction opportunities.
- You will improve current processes and offer support/solutions/ideas to responsibly scale solutions so that the function meets the high growth at Dexcom.
- You will learn & demonstrate multiple systems such as Oracle EPM (Hyperion forms, inputs, and queries) & Tableau.
- You will bring forth proposals and creative solutions to best meet the growth needs particularly in the annual budget cycle.
- You will provide additional business support responsibilities and assigned projects as Dexcom continues to grow.
What makes you successful:
- You have prior experience in operations, manufacturing, etc.
- You have experience with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- You have experience with major ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
- Having Tableau and Hyperion experience is a plus.
- You are able to work with large data sets from multiple systems and enjoy the challenge of working with details
- You have good business judgment, can work independently and know when collaboration with pee s and managers is needed to reach optimal solutions.
- You have a strong foundational knowledge in general accounting principles (accruals, prepaids, capital)
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and can effectively work with executive levels of management.

Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor\'s degree and a minimum of 5 - 8 years of related experience.
