Description
A.T. Still University's School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) is seeking applications for non-exempt adjunct faculty in Anatomy on the Mesa, Arizona campus. This position reports to the Chair of the Anatomy Department. The Adjunct Anatomy Faculty position will work collaboratively with the ATSU-SOMA team to develop, implement, and refine the anatomy curriculum and will be involved in the delivery of anatomy education to medical students. This is an hourly position with an expected contribution averaging approximately 80 hours per year, depending on number of activities executed.
Job Duties:
Facilitate student-led anatomy laboratory activities, assess student progress, and provide feedback in lab sessions
Assist with the development of curricular activities, clinical anatomy content, and assessments related to anatomyand imaging
Participate in faculty development and training related to the assigned tasks
Other duties as assigned by Chair of Anatomy or Curricular Deans, in keeping with the mission of the school
Skills / Requirements:
Must be a PhD, DO or MD, specialty board certified.
Must have AZ medical license.
Three to five years experience required in:
Broad knowledge and experience in medical education at the GME and/or UME level
Curriculum delivery knowledge and experience with a willingness to adopt to innovative classroom instruction
Skill requirements obtained as part of board certification in the physician's specialty.
