Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is currently seeking a Senior Industrial Security Manager (Level L) supporting the Government Security Personnel Security Program Management Office. This position will be performed from one of the following locations: Mesa, AZ, Tukwila, WA, El Segundo, CA, or Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities to support the clearance and access of all Boeing Defense, Space & Security employees across the Enterprise

  • Lead efforts to streamline and centralize personnel security activity and transform the way we do business

  • Develops and executes projects and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manages, develops and motivates a large team of employees, including those in other locations across the country

  • Develops project or operational plans aligned to organization's objectives to centralize personnel security activity across the enterprise

  • Implements plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved

  • Assigns authority and responsibilities to employees to execute the plan

  • Reviews plans' execution, makes appropriate adjustments, and resolves issues

  • Monitors and reports appropriate metrics to ensure performance to plan

  • Provides on-going developmental feedback

  • Recognizes contributions of individuals and teams to improve employee satisfaction and retain a skilled and motivated workforce

  • Develops work groups, project or operational goals, objectives and related metrics to ensure alignment with Company and Boeing Government Security vision/strategy

  • Measures progress, executing changes as needed

  • Holds direct reports accountable for achieving goals

  • Keeps others informed by communicating project status, conducting and participating in team meetings, providing presentations and listening to employee concerns and suggestions

  • Communicates policies and directives to enhance employee awareness of expectations.

  • Achieves goals for productivity, quality and customer satisfaction

  • Ensures work group products or processes meet customer, company, quality, industry and regulatory requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements may be required for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role leading diverse teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change

  • 10+ years of experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP and/or SCI

  • Deep familiarity with personnel security processes across multiple domains

  • Familiarity with and User of systems such as DISS/NBIS, SC, etc.

  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience

  • 3+ years of Project Management experience

  • 10+ years of experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives

  • 10+ years of experience communicating with internal and external customers

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:

Tier 1 - El Segundo, CA & Tukwila, WA: USD $141,100 - 190,900

Tier 2 - Mesa, AZ & Berkeley, MO: USD $131,750 – $178,250
