3rd shift hours (10:00pm - 6:30am - Additional 15% shift differential for 3rd shift)

General Summary: Under close supervision accomplishes assigned goals in maintenance of facilities equipment; typically includes: chilled water systems, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, construction, landscaping, boilers and other associated facilities equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs equipment adjustments/calibrations, rebuilds, and assists in maintenance of facilities equipment including troubleshooting and repairs associated with minor equipment faults. Troubleshoots electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Working knowledge of Facilities Management Systems (FMS) to assist in maintaining control of temperature and humidity of buildings. Uses FMS to assist in troubleshooting facilities equipment.

  • Repairs and maintains equipment using electrical, control voltage, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics and controls.

  • Has mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of shop equipment and measurement instrumentation.

  • May orient/train others; supports and shares knowledge with other technicians.

  • Performs basic facilities duties, including changing filters and assisting with office moves as needed.

Abilities:

Excellent communications skills. Knowledge of high and low voltage preferred. Knowledge of above listed skills required. Must be flexible and be able to work any shift.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Associate’s Degree in related technical field or trade school or equivalent preferred.

Certificate or 20 credit hours towards a technical degree and/or* Minimum 3 years related experience or combination of formal education and experience of which 1 year hands on experience is required with demonstrated proficiency.

Must be able to obtain Universal CFC License.

Physical Requirements:

Must have hand dexterity at moderate speed with accuracy for half of each day. Requires steady, active effort and continuous walking. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a repetitive basis. Must be able to work in all areas of the plant. Must be able to use ladders and elevated platforms as needed.

ZF Mesa Operations screening process includes a substance abuse screening test which includes testing for THC, ATF lifetime background check, and verification of eligibility for employment. U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Status Required.
