BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT

This position is responsible for the painting, re-painting solids, metallics, and clearcoats onto fiberglass boats and parts for final on time delivery to the customer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Painting metallics, blending, multiple colors and blend clearcoats.

Mix and prepare paint based on color ratios and specifications.

Wet sand polishing and 2000 grit polishing.

Perform 3M 1,2,3, polishing method.

Buff and preparation for final delivery.

All duties of a Painter I as noted below.

Early stage cleaning, sanding, and solvent application of boat parts in preparation for painting.

Masking and taping off areas to be painted.

Paint solid colors with paint sprayer tool.

Move boats or parts in and out of paint booth.

Cleans spraying equipment with appropriate solvents and cleaning products.

Proper Disposal and storage of paint liquids, solvents, supplies, and paint tools.

Operation and Housekeeping of the paint booth including cleaning vents and changing filters.

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

2-5 years of experience as a painter in boating, aviation, or automotive or automotive repair industries.

Possess or able to achieve certification AWL 2000 for solids, metallics, and clears.

Ability to pass and use a respirator and necessary paint booth PPE .

Must always follow all safety and quality standards including chemical handling standards.

Moderate lifting ability up to 45 lbs.

Understand and follow verbal and written directions.

Ability to read and understand paint blueprints and/or paint design specifications.

Ability to maintain necessary process and regulatory documentation in written and electronic forms.

Must be able to work efficiently and effectively to achieve daily goals.

Attention to detail.

Shift

Must have the availability to work from 5:30 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Thursday.

Overtime is frequently required on Friday based on scheduling needs.

The BIMC reserves the right to adjust shifts and work times as business needs evolve.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $20.00 to $24.30, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
