Description: A Planner/Scheduler II opportunity is available in Merritt Island, FL. This is a full-time, direct opportunity with benefits. The Construction Planner and Scheduler Level 2 will help develop the construction project schedules and project management plans based on the program schedule, customer ask date, labor, resource availability, and expected delivery time. The expectation is to manage construction project schedules for multiple programs and provide detailed information for Facilities Construction, Engineering, and the end-user to ensure scheduled completion dates align with equipment, tooling, and production need-by-dates.

Job Duties:

  1. Evaluate construction scope and create tactical schedules using scheduling systems (MS Project & Primavera P6). Controls the scope of work released to the program for management and execution.

  2. When schedule recovery is necessary, identify and analyze solutions and bottlenecks, including forward and reverse scheduling methods.

  3. Works closely with the Facilities Construction team to determine the needs and constraints of the capital construction projects, general contractors/subcontractors, and schedules work accordingly.

  4. Monitors status and provides regular updates to management on upcoming project priorities.

  5. Updates visual management boards with current job/program status.

  6. Performs schedule and scope variance analysis and reviews construction execution.

  7. Works on problems of diverse scope where data analysis requires evaluation and judgment.

  8. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Program Management, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure construction and customer specifications are accurate and project schedules are timely.

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

Minimum of [3] years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.

Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.

Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and resource management.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred:

Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or scheduling (e.g., PMI-SP) is a plus.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $41,600 to $62,400. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
