The Electronic Combat Solutions Sustainment Center is seeking a uniquely qualified and motivated individual to provide Value Stream Specialist leadership in a growing, state of the art factory supporting Customer Returns and Upgrades, Spares New Builds and Restarts, in support of the Advanced Electronic Warfare Sustainment Product Line (F-22, Firetip and Paragon). This individual will be responsible for front line daily leadership across all AEWS sustainment products (Repairs and Spares). The position will be responsible for direct management of the touch and test labor team, and will be an integrator across the cross functional team in achieving program objectives (including safety, cost, schedule, and quality) and organizing daily execution.
Responsibilities include:
Hiring, training, and supervising a staff of operators to build and test AEWS Sustainment product across multiple shifts.
Working with cross-functional representatives including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process engineering to execute WIP management to reduce repair turnaround time.
Interaction with internal and/or external customers with respect to factory status and facility tours.
Ensuring a culture of safety and diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything we do.
Identifying opportunities for improvement and organizing resources to execute improvements.
Develop staffing plans for cross-training and second shift coverage.
Collaborate in transition of new product to AEWS Sustainment Product Stream.
Support in factory moves/expansion and equipment validation.
Ensures compliance with all safety and health regulations stated by internal company policy and Federal, State, and Local applicable standards.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Prior sustainment/repair manufacturing leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience in implementing change in sustainment process of debug and repair in effort to reduce repair turnaround time.
Sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers.
Ability to adjust and affect changing priorities and customer requests due to changing customer stocking levels (Mission Incapable reaction).
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
1-2 years of direct manufacturing management experience.
Understanding of circuit card rework/repair processes.
Experience in factory layout, expansion and work cell optimization.
Demonstrated success resolving a wide variety of problems in a high-mix sustainment manufacturing environment.
Working understanding of debug test and/or electronics background.
Implementing and leading direct reports and supports in use of YORK Your Online Repair Knowledge
Implementing lessons learned into transitioning product lines into sustainment environment.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $66084 - $112343
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
