Job Summary

 

This position is in Meridian, Mississippi. Summary: Manager with the daily operation of the Dietary Department to included aid with training staff, food ordering and preparation, food delivery and clean up in accordance with facility policies, physician orders, resident care plans, and appropriate regulations. Prepares food per census and cycle menu recipes and production sheets, as well as alacarte requests or as needed for special functions.  Prepare food for Modified and Therapeutic Diets, including portioning and display of serving. Assist with utilization of menu software program. Coordinate and insure proper staffing. Follow company, local, state, federal guidelines for Food Handling and required methods of documentation. 

  • Ensuring a good dining experience: Ensure that customers have a pleasant dining experience and that service is timely. 

     

  • Managing staff: Train and supervise dining staff, create shift schedules, and ensure that staff are well-presented.  

     

  • Managing the dining room: Ensure that the dining room is clean and well-stocked before each meal service.  

     

  • Managing special events: Lead the setup, service, and breakdown for special events.  

  • Managing inventory: Maintain and replenish inventory of dining room items.  
  • Managing reservations: Manage reservations and monitor service times.  
  • Handling customer requests and complaints: Address customer requests and complaints in a diplomatic and courteous manner.  

     

  • Managing programs: Develop and implement programs to increase revenues.
